This project was apart of an independent study I had in my undergrad studying in-depth drum recording technique. I wanted apart of my study to look into the way that the band Metallica recorded their drums and editied their drums.

Using the mics available and the kit available I did my best to recreate the drum sound and recording techniques used by Metallicas producer on the song "Enter Sandman", Bob Rock and Lars Ulrich.

This drum setup used 12 microphones, and focused most on editing the kick and snare sounds to be heavy and punchy. This was super fun to learn about and redesign.
